Obesity in America is an epidemic. Don’t believe me (or the doctors)? Walk around any water park in America and tell me I’m wrong. Between fast food binges and late night trips to Coldstone, we’re a fat nation. Instead of sticking to the status quo, this overweight couple from Colorado woke up from their fat nap and took action. The results are inspiring. Follow their example.

In 2011, Robert Foster weighed 327 lbs. and his wife Jessica weighed 287 lbs.

As the years went by, they felt as though they were in a downward spiral and didn’t know how to stop overeating.

By 2012 they realized they were too fat to play with their kids. They knew things had to change.

Jessica got the ball rolling and enrolled in a zumba class, losing 14 pounds in just a few weeks. Justin started slower with a few diet changes, but also started losing weight.

By December, the couple had lost an astonishing amount of weight. They even enrolled in a 5k (which Jessica won).

As of today, Robert has finished a second 5K, a 10K, and a marathon. He lost a total of 160 pounds while Jessica lost 120. She dropped from a dress size of 24 to a size 10.
