What We Like About the NetTalk Review
In writing this NetTalk review, we considered what the main features and benefits of this service are. Here’s a glance at the features we liked the most:
- Super installation – Simply plug and play, activate the unit and you’re ready to make and receive calls
- Compact size – The unit is just a tad bigger than a box of matches
- Inexpensive – You can buy the NetTalk device for less than $70; $30 for each additional year of service
- Router friendly – The unit can be connected directly to a router. This means you won’t need to leave the computer on all the time for the unit to work.
- Easy access to voice mail – Voice mails are sent to your email and are recorded as .wav files. This makes it easy to listen to your voice-mail from your computer or even on your smartphone.
- No contracts or monthly bills – Once you buy the unit, you’ll receive the first year of service. If you don’t want to continue using the service, you can simply not renew.
NetTalk Review and What We Didn’t Like
If you look at other NetTalk review, you’ll see that the service is not perfect for everyone. But then again, what is?
The main thing we disliked is that the service is not compatible with all routers. However, in our eyes this is an easy problem to solve. One of the customer who wrote a NetTalk review recommends visiting their forums to look at a list of compatible routers before you make your purchase. If it turns out your router is not compatible, you can always purchase one that is. Even with the added cost of buying a brand new router to use with the NetTalk you’ll end up saving a few hundred dollars per year in phone bill costs.
Also, we noticed one of the NetTalk review talking about having to dial all 11 digits in a phone number. We don’t think this is a problem, though. Keep in mind that most major cities already require you to enter 10 digits to call. I think the writer of that NetTalk review was just nitpicking really. We’re willing to dial an extra digit to save money in the long run.
